What they say about Ramster gardens...

The woodland gardens at Ramster were laid out at the beginning of the last century by Gauntlett Nurseries of Chiddingfold, and have now been owned by the same family for 80 years. Now a mature flowering shrub garden of over 20 acres, it is full of unusual and interesting plants which flourish under the canopy of oaks and larches. In May, the brilliant display of rhododendrons and azaleas is at its best, while a carpet of bluebells fills the air with scent and the ever-changing colours of the garden are reflected in the pond.

(What we say about Ramster gardens... they looked very pretty as we drove quickly past them on our (late) way to look at the venue. If you're interested in plant-spotting, more information is available here.)
